- refugee health assessment
- refugee and immigrant mental health
- using telephone and onsite interpreters
- settlement services for refugees and immigrants
- chronic disease management: diabetes and hepatitis B
- caring for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) patients.
Learning objectives:
- to improve the health assessment and care of refugee and immigrant patients
- to enhance the use of telephone and onsite interpresters in general pratice
- to increase the awareness of refugee and immigrant setttlement service agencies
- to gain further knowledge of issues, strategies, resources and local referral services.
