Nursing and Midwifery Student Employment Project - Student Survey

The Nursing and Midwifery Student Employment Project aims to evaluate the impact of different nursing and midwifery student employment options on workforce and service delivery. This includes evaluating the feasibility and efficacy of employing bachelor of nursing students in health assistant positions in Victoria's public health services.

 

Nursing and Midwifery Student Employment Project

This work focuses on nursing and midwifery students in courses leading to initial registration.

Students in a Certificate IV or Diploma program for Enrolled Nurse - Division 2 registration, a post-registration qualification that does not lead to initial registration, a postgraduate (post-registration) Midwifery qualification or a qualification for re-registration are not currently the focus of this work.

Key activities:

  • nursing and midwifery student employment patterns, and
  • the cost and benefits of different approaches to student employment.

Students are invited to complete the survey to be in the draw for a $250 book and equipment voucher. 

The student survey closes 30 September 2010.
