Eastern Health has commenced a significant review of Ambulatory Services with the potential to impact on all nurses employed across Eastern Health. The Change Impact Statement contains an implementation timeframe of late September 2010. Click here for a copy of the Change Impact Statement.
The proposed changes involve the establishment of network-wide programs for:

Hospital in the Home (HITH)

Post Acute Care (PAC)

Sub-Acute Ambulatory Care Services (SACS)

Residential Care Outreach (RCO)

Respecting Patient Choices (RPC)

Transition Care Program (TCP)

Emergency Department Care Co-ordination (EDCC)

Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACAT)

GP liaison.
To enable the ANF to properly consider the concerns of our members, we are convening members' meetings as outlined below. The meetings will be open to all nursing staff, however, nurses who may not currently be members of the ANF, will be requested to complete an ANF membership form at the meeting.
ANF has met with Eastern Health management and it has been agreed that an Organisation Restructuring Committee will be convened with representatives from the ANF, including ANF members. Accordingly, the ANF is convening urgent members' meetings as follows:
