Urgent information for international nursing students

See the links below for more information about 457 Visas Nursing students who may need to apply for a Tourist Visa should call the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) on 131 881 and ask for an appointment. This appointment can be done up to the day your current visa expires e.g. 30 August 2010.

When you call please notify DIAC staff that you are a nursing student as the department has ensured some appointments will be specifically for nursing students. You will need to provide the necessary documentation at this appointment. If you are unable to get an appointment before your visa expires please attend in person to the DIAC office.

For those students applying for Skilled Migration Visas please book your medical and federal police checks prior to applying online to the Australian Nursing Midwifery Council (ANMC) for a skills assessment.
