Warrnambool City Council maternal and child health nurses and immunisation nurses vote to take industrial action - 26 August 2010
Warrnambool City Council's maternal and child health nurses and immunisation nurses have voted unanimously to take protected industrial action as a last resort after management refused to address their high client workloads and low wages. The nurses decided to take industrial action after months of negotiations between the Australian Nursing Federation (Victorian Branch) and Warrnambool City Council failed to reach an agreement. Eastern Health members meetings - 25 August 2010
ANF (Vic Branch) will hold urgent members meetings on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 August 2010 to discuss Eastern Health's organisational review of Ambulatory Services. The proposed changes impact on over 260 EFT of staff across Eastern Health (which includes a very significant proportion of nursing staff).
