Registration Renewal - Can I still work within one month after the registration expiry date?

As long as you renew your registration within the month following your current registration expiry date you will be registered.

For example if you miss the registration date of 31 December 2010 you can still work in this late payment period (up to 31 January 2011) as you will still be registered. Your employer can review your registration status online.

If you have lodged your application but it has not yet been processed, your name may be correctly displayed as 'Registered' on the National Register, but have a registration expiry date that has passed. This date will be adjusted when your registration application has been processed.

If you have any further questions please contact AHPRA on 1300 419 495 for all registration enquiries. The ANF (Vic Branch) does not register nurses.

You must register with AHPRA by going online at www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au or return the form sent with a letter from AHPRA in November. If you have not received this letter from AHPRA you must call 1300 419 495. You wil need to be prepared to wait and have your queries answered as this phone service is very busy.

AHPRA office closure:
Closing at 5pm on Friday 24 December 2010
Reopening on Wednesday 29 December 2010
Open on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 December 2010
Closed Monday 3 January 2011
Reopening Tuesday 4 January 2011

Please do not forward your registration renewal to the ANF. We are unable to renew nurses' and midwives' registration to practise.

ANF is unable to assist you with registration queries during our office closure.
