ANF Education Centre

The ANF Education is a registered training organisation (RTO - 3601) and offers a comprehensive program for registered nurses, midwives and personal care workers.

ANF encourages all nurses to pursue excellence through continued education and learning. To assist nurses overcome the high cost of undertaking quality further education programs, the ANF Education Centre operates on a not-for-profit basis and offers members, Job Reps and ANF Special Interest Group members significant course discounts.

The comprehensive course program includes: formal courses, accredited courses, HLT51607 Diploma of Nursing (enrolled/ Division 2 nursing), first aid, clinical, maths, management and leadership, legal, ethical, violence and aggression prevention and management, computer courses. Many courses articulate into university of TAFE programs.

The course program is advertised in On The Record, this website and the ANF Education Calendar which is mailed every six weeks to ANF Job Reps.

The ANF Education Centre, nursing laboratory and computer laboratory is located at ANF House, 540 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. For inquiries or to register for a course call 03 9275 9363.

Delivery of units leading to a qualification for enrolled nurses to administer intravenous medication - 8 September 2010
This course is for eligible Enrolled Nurses who registered prior to 2008 and have medication administration qualifications in four routes (oral, enteral, intramuscular and subcutaneous. Successful students will be able to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia to deliver all five routes including intravenous medication. Applications close Friday 20 August 2010.
