This qualification will provide the nursing skills and knowledge to be eligible to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for registration as an enrolled nurse. This course, which starts in late September 2012, is funded by Skills Victoria.

There are many opportunities
for enrolled nurses to work across the health care sector including acute,
palliative care, rehabilitation, aged care, operating theatres and oncology.
This diploma also provides qualifications in medication administration,
including intravenous medication and a pathway to the Bachelor of Nursing
qualification.
This course has been approved
by the former Nurses Board of Victoria and is therefore recognised and approved
by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Satisfactory completion
of this course will allow application to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of
Australia (NMBA) for registration as an enrolled nurse (formerly known as
Division 2 RN). However, interested applicants must note that the Nursing and
Midwifery Board of Australia has implemented a new English Language Standard.

obtained from the NMBA by visiting the AHPRA website www.ahpra.gov.au
