What does an ANF Job Rep do?

The Job Rep is the vital communication link between the ANF office and nurses in the workplace - every hospital ward and unit, health centre, health service and aged care facility.

Job Reps are elected by their colleagues to represent members in the workplace.

Job Reps distribute ANF information to members in the workplace. With ANF support, Job Reps recruit new members and assist members when they have an industrial or professional issue and may need ANF advice, information or representation.

ANF recommends each ward or unit elect at least two Job Reps. This means one person is not responsible for all the work and it is easier to represent, assist and recruit members working day, evening and night shift. Download the Job Rep nomination form in the resources box on this page or call your ANF Organiser on 03 9275 9333.
