Victorian public sector nurses and midwives general agreement
The Victorian public sector nurses and midwives voted to
accept a new agreement at a statewide meeting on 16 March 2012. Following a
nine-month campaign nurses and midwives stopped the Baillieu Government
replacing nurses with health assistants, saved the state's unique nurse/midwife
patient ratios, achieved some improvements to ratios and secured increased
money between 14 and 21 per cent. Read a summary of the agreement. Read the new agreement
Victorian public sector and Forensicare mental health nurses agreement
ANF members voted on 19 July 2012 to accept new public
sector mental health and Forensicare agreements that improve wages and
conditions and provide an additional 43 full-time mental health nursing
positions.
The Victorian Public Sector Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2012-2016 (which includes a section on pay rates starting at page 195) came into effect Friday 7 December 2012.
