Mental Health Members 2007 EBA Update No 6

16 November 2007, 9:48am

AGREEMENT REACHED
Thursday 15 November 4.00 p.m.

The Government offer for a new 2007 EBA was formally accepted by ANF yesterday.  The new wage rates will apply from 1.10.2007 given the acceptance today by all parties.

The new EBA will deliver to mental health nurses the outcome achieved for general public sector nurses in respect to wages, conditions and an increase in the number of mental health nurses and targeted at staffing for HDUs and community mental health services.

ANF congratulates members for their unity of purpose and strength particularly during the period of industrial action.  This result could not have been achieved without it.

The outcome is the same as that contained in the proposal accepted by ANF members at the state wide meeting on 14.11.07 save that it also now contains an additional increment at  RPN 4 Year 5 (from 1.10.2008) and a $15 improvement in the rate for an RPN 5 from 1/10/07.

A detailed summary of all that has been achieved will be sent to members.  Wage outcomes can be viewed on www.anfvic.asn.au/campaigns
